Lionel started his university-level education in the french “Grandes Écoles” system. He entered the “École Normale Suprérieure de Lyon”, where he attended the courses of (among others) and did a summer internship under the supervision of Pierre Lescanne, spent enriching year in the company of many other and various persons and went as far as another university to meet even more.
Then, he was off to Eindhoven, NL in a an European exchange program. Slowly, he realised how close a certain other place was and how tight the links were. He finally decided to finish his Master's degree there.
After this, he got accepted to a PhD position in the foundations group of the University of Nijmegen.
